Some one who suggested me (I will make them anonymous for right now) that we have a General Findings thread. It would lower the amount of threads being created for findings. It also would make the forum more organized. So if you have any findings, you can post them here! If you have any questions or suggestions, please ask me. Oh I also figured out why the original vacuum tube had bones and was animated! If you pay close attention in the beta when Luigi sucked anything up the vacuum tube would make a bulge effect that traveled from the vacuum head right into the poltergust. Cool huh?
Another thing I noticed is that even though absent in the beta, Chauncey's photo is still on the wall in the nursery. And what's odd is that unlike in the final Chauncey is painted AS A GHOST and not human. In the final it says he was born a ghost so this would have definitely fit better. I don't know why it was changed. Maybe they where gonna change his backstory at one time then canned it or just plain forgot.

I'm not sure what that last line meant but Chauncey was never human. He was born a ghost as stated on his info on the game boy horror. In the beta he was painted as a ghost while in the final he's painted as a human. I think the ghost portrait would have made more sense.
EDIT:also check out this unused animation i recorded! (reading the description will also clear up what this was for) (and turn your volume down. i don't know why it's so loud.)

I've discovered some things in hex editing before. like... changing some of luigi's behavior in the "info" (or jmp folder files). Or changing the enemy generator to 0 (max_enemy, max_enemy_once). One time in the furnitureinfo I managed to make every sheet in the game skinny! pretty cool. Some people probably know that you can also change parameters in a hex editor, but spacecats' program has a pretty nifty interface for that nowadays.
