I need to know which models inside of .szp files are .bdl files so I can import custom models. If anybody has the time could they list them?

First things first, I will move this thread to the help section of the Rom-Hacking board. That section is for asking questions with new threads. Second, I see what you need to do. You need to scale your model 100x bigger. (just set the scale for each value from 1.000 to 100.000) You should ALWAYS look at the scale of the original model you are editing with, so you can have it set correctly how you want to. And also, I will leave that file attachment on, but next time, try using a different file sharing source (mixtape.moe works fine, and you don't need an account). We have limited storage space for files.

Thanks. But I mean I think I'm having texture problems because the model won't show up in bmd view when I do all the steps.

BMD View is meant for viewing original models. I'm not sure if it's tested for custom models. The real way to test it is to compile your game and run it.

Okay. And to the texture need to be applied on separate materials or in an order or does it not matter?

They need to be in separate materials, but that is pretty much what I can remember you need to do.

Thanks dude. When I have enough internet time ill download python. It says to download the installer it takes 30 minutes but it takes even longer! [Probably due to my time almost being used up...]

Oh I was wondering... could someone possibly make a mdl to bmd converter? I know the two formats are very different but would that be possible and/or a faster way for mdl importing to be possible?
[Ps. Sorry for double posting]

[Ps. Sorry for double posting] I know that there is an mdl2obj converter. So you could do that to convert it into bmd.

But is there a way to reverse that tool...? Hmm.... Sadly, that tool does not extract the bone structure, so if you would reverse that tool, you would have no bones, and it would be broken.

Me:maybe it could be modified to find the bones within the model. But since the bones wouldn't show up in blender maybe some new model viewer/importer can hold the bone data while the raw model itself is edited in blender! And then when re-imported into the viewer it places the bones back on the model!

Also if you are wondering "why don't you wait until it's here?" I don't think anyone has the idea to do so. Now is best, we can't just wait 2001 years just for it to be available online.
