Hello!
Today, we are going to Make a Luigi's Mansion Root Folder. (Or any GameCube Game)
Why?
So you can finally Modify Luigi's Mansion code without that Hex Editor ISO business. This is also how I was able to make my Mario's Mansion project happen. And This is essential for editing Event Scripts.
Things you will need:
Step 1.
Open GCR
Step 2.
Go to the Toolbar that says "Image" and click "Open..."
Step 3.
Select your ISO, and click "Open"
Step 4.
Now you will have all the file data open. Now Right Click on the folder that says "Root" and select "Export".
Now you can place it wherever you want. (Preferably on your hard drive, for way faster compiling (I'm talking 3 seconds vs. 15 minutes))
Step 5.
Go to the Toolbar that says "Image", and click "Close".
Step 6.
The Fun part...
Now Go to the Toolbar that says "Root", and click "Open...". You should select the root folder you previously placed somewhere.
Step 7.
Now you can save & compile your Root folder as an ISO.
But First, you need to select "Save" from the "Root" Toolbar.
Step 8.
Choose the name you want your ISO file to be named. Then click "Save"
Step 9.
Now you have your ISO that is ready to be edited.
If you made an update to your Root folder from before, Go to the "Root" Toolbar and click "Rebuild".
Now you have your very own root folder to edit your Luigi's Mansion game.
But sometimes you will get an error from rebuilding, but all you need to do is open save and reselect your ISO that you created, and then it should be fine.
NOTE: I did use my Mario's Mansion file at the end. It's the ISO I know that I can compile.

Things you will need:
- GameCube Rebuilder Tool (GCR 1.0)
