Okay... so. I've wanted to do this for quite a while with LM. Now ONE I have a program called MDL2OBJ (it's typed in Python) for converting MDL to OBJ (like the poltergust model). I had to install Python 2.7, then Numpy add-on using the built-in add-on installer, then I had to install PyQt4 to Python and that's when I could mostly use it. But then when I tried converting to OBJ using command prompt, I can run most of it then it says at the bottom: HERE'S A SCREENSHOT OF WHAT IT DISPLAYS: prntscr.com/axqyk2Could anybody by chance help me with fixing this issue? Is it some kind of code error? I've tried going into the code of it and finding the lines with "Edit With IDLE" but I'm confused... Now TWO in order to play as Mario in LM without it messing up when changing Luigi to Mario, would I need to replace all of Luigi's KEY files with Mario's or something in the SZP? and the luige.mdl with bmario.mdl? Thanks for assistance!

I DID IT! Here are some screenshot: He really is having an super seizure while catching Poltergust nozzle...but the basic we already done. Here it is the steps: Extract luige.szp and bmario.szp with ArcExtract. Now we can copy the model from the bmario/model and put in the luige/model folder. Delete the current model from luige/model and paste in that folder. And after we just rename to luige.mdl. Drag the luige folder and it will become an arc. After, copy it. Catch the luige folder and extract game_usa.szp with the same program as above. In the game_usa/model folder, you can delete the current luige.arc and paste the modified luige.arc with Mario's model. After drag the game_usa folder to ArcExtract and recompile it in it former state to the szp format. Now that you recompiled it, move to the game folder of the LM's root. And you can just recompile the iso with GCRebuilder! Well, all I have to say is: enjoy the hilarious seizure Mario's is having! (Of course I won't will leave him in this state, I will try to do something to fix its broken animations.)

thank you! but, can you help me with my Gamecube Rebuilder ISO CREATING speed? I have a 32 bit cpu... maybe that's why it takes like 3 to 5 min to save ONE LITTLE EDIT. But I'm getting tired of this "slow saving"... *sigh*.

Good morning (if you are there) AND GOOD NEWS, MAN! I finally got the Poltergust beta version working with the iso! Here is a showing-off: (Thanks and credits to spacecats for creating this patch). I will tell you a important thing that I thought and worked: If your iso is hacked, it somehow will both freeze and drop fps to 0, I don't know why it don't work with a modified and hacked iso as mine. You will need to have an original and unmodified iso dump of root, otherwise it won't will work. Things I have to do now: Extract the root of this patched iso, catch the beta replaced Poltergust model from root/model, and after extract the root of my developing iso, copy this model and put it as the replacing of the current vbody.szp in my project root and after recompile it. I don't worry about waiting, since it is a short process, lol. I wonder if this steps will work also.

Oh yea, the reason the patch does not work with modified ISOs, is because patches are meant to be used with the original ISO. It's just how it works. And the bmario thing. The main point was swapping a bunch of animations, and even making a fake one, to make bmario work. I need to look into bmario more, and find out what animations were swapped with what, because I was experimenting with it, and eventually got bmario to work mostly. EDIT: Also, you have been multi-posting a lot recently lmfinishgamer . Just try to use the edit button while you can, and if you have more to say than the edit box lets you do in one post, than it's OK.

Well...do you remember some steps you did to get Mario's working correctly? (Or, what type of animations I need to swap?) EDIT: I don't understand somethings, could you make an thread/post explaining this more detailed? (I will be waiting, don't worry.)

I really need to look at it when I get home. I did insert a fake name animation (which I named, "k_lol"), and that I guess fixed some stuff. Also, with some of the animations, I shift their names by 1 in a certain area (alphabetical order), and that fixed the "animation forever loops" somewhat. (Like infinite shaking objects & stuff) That's all I got right now. I will have more later.

Adding the fake animation and changing the order of things in the arc is probably what fixed everything because of luige.arc's strange need to be in a specific order. For whatever reason luige.arc has very specific rules you need to abide by because the game loads it in some weird way where things need to be in the right order to work. This is confirmable by simply unpacking the arc and repacking it, it has the same effect. Yeah its strange and doesnt make any sense but thats nintendo for you.

Is that why my hack crashes when I try and replace animations?

sorry guys... I have school... but I'm here now! okay well when I tried the bmario thing on nintendont (homebrew) it doesn't even load the mod... when I tried running the game it just freezes on NINTENDO. I might've done something wrong. when I extract both luige.szp and bmario.szp from root do I also wanna put luige.mdl in "bmario --> model"? maybe that was what I did wrong cuz I did that then I recompressed bmario.szp. well also I tried making orange ghost white again (deleted the txp files from obake01.szp) then I overwrited mBrightColor and mAmbColor again in hex with FF. Idk I'm sure the models not being recognized right messed it up, do I need to rename the copy of bmario.mdl to luige.mdl?

No, of course. You don't need to worry about any freaking order (This is what it was easy for me to do)

Please refrain from using cursewords lmfinishgamer. And also why does it keep crashing on NINTENDO then?
